Non-medical help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and everyday routines—provided at home by caregivers Better Choice Care LLC carefully screens and employs.
Support With Everyday Personal Care
Personal care helps with daily activities that may become difficult because of age, illness, or reduced mobility.
Non-Medical Help at Home
Care may include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, walking, transfers, meals, and other daily routines identified in the written service plan.
The goal is to provide appropriate support while respecting what each client can still do independently.
Supporting the Goal of Remaining at Home
For many families, personal care can support a loved one’s goal of remaining at home while receiving help with daily activities.
Services are adjusted to the client’s documented non-medical needs, preferences, schedule, and caregiver availability.
Signs It May Be Time to Discuss Personal Care
Families often begin exploring support after noticing changes in daily routines, grooming, mobility, or meals.
- Wearing the same clothes for several days
- Noticeable changes in grooming or personal hygiene
- Avoiding bathing because the routine has become difficult
- Unexplained bruising or a recent fall
- Difficulty standing from a chair or getting out of bed
- Skin irritation associated with delayed changing
- Sleeping in a recliner because getting into bed is difficult
- Skipping meals because shopping or preparation feels overwhelming
These signs may indicate that additional support could be helpful. Sudden, unexplained, or concerning changes should also be discussed with an appropriate healthcare professional.

How We Protect Dignity
Personal care is intimate work, and how it is provided matters. Caregivers explain what they are doing, ask before assisting, and support the parts of a routine the client can continue managing independently.
Caregiver matching considers documented care needs, personality, communication preferences, language, scheduling, and requested caregiver preferences. If a match is not working, contact us so we can review available options and work toward a better fit.
