Improving Access for Every Visitor
We work to make our website easier to perceive, understand, navigate, and use with common browsers, devices, keyboards, and assistive technologies.
Our ongoing accessibility work is informed by generally recognized practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. We use Level AA criteria as a reference where reasonably applicable to our website.
This statement does not claim that every page or third-party feature has been formally audited or certified as fully conforming to WCAG 2.2. We continue to review the website and address barriers as we identify them.
Accessibility Features and Ongoing Work
Our design and content practices focus on the following areas.
Clear Page Structure
Pages use descriptive titles, headings, lists, labels, and logical content order to support navigation and understanding.
Keyboard Navigation
We work to keep links, buttons, and form controls accessible by keyboard with visible focus indicators.
Images and Meaning
Meaningful images are given text alternatives when appropriate, while decorative images are kept from adding unnecessary screen-reader content.
Readable Design
We use legible fonts, adequate spacing, descriptive link text, and color combinations intended to provide readable contrast.
Zoom and Mobile Use
Layouts are designed to adapt across screen sizes and support browser zoom without requiring a separate mobile website.
Motion Preferences
Where we control motion effects, we limit unnecessary animation and respect reduced-motion preferences when technically supported.
Third-Party Content and Technology
Some website functions depend on platforms or services that Better Choice Care does not fully control.
Our website may include or link to third-party forms, maps, documents, scheduling tools, job-application tools, or other external services. Those providers control the accessibility of their own technology and may not offer the same level of accessibility as the pages we directly maintain.
If a third-party feature prevents you from requesting care information, applying for a position, or accessing important content, please contact us. We will work with you to provide a reasonable alternative method whenever possible.
Alternative Ways to Access Information
You do not have to rely only on the website to communicate with Better Choice Care.
If you have difficulty using a page, form, document, or feature, call us or use our Contact page. We can help explain information by telephone or provide another reasonable format or communication method when available and appropriate.
When reporting an accessibility issue, it is helpful to include:
- The page address or name of the feature you were trying to use.
- A short description of what happened or what information you could not access.
- The browser, device, or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable sharing it.
- Your preferred way for us to respond.
Please do not include medical records, Social Security numbers, financial information, or other highly sensitive information in an initial accessibility message.
Feedback and Updates
Accessibility needs and web technology change over time. Better Choice Care may update this statement as our website, services, or accessibility practices change. The most recent update date will appear near the top of this page.
We welcome specific, respectful feedback about barriers. Receiving a report does not necessarily mean an immediate technical change is possible, but we will review the issue and consider an appropriate correction or alternative way to provide access.
